A Record of Processing Activities (ROPA) is the working register that shows which data flows exist, which teams own them, which systems are involved, and which legal or regulatory requirements apply.
Good ROPAs are operational artifacts, not static documents. They help teams connect policy requirements to products, vendors, retention schedules, and evidence.
